Passengers Rescued from Grounded Ship

All passengers and crew of MV Weesam Express 7 were successfully rescued by the personnel of Coast Guard Station (CGS) Cebu from a passenger/cargo vessel which ran aground near Lauis Ledge last night, January 23.

In a report made by the Coast Guard District Central Visayas (CGDCV), MV Weesam Express 7 ran aground 1.5 nautical miles southeast of Lauis Ledge around 6:40 p.m. last night while it was en route from Ormoc to Cebu City.

Around 1:30 a.m. January 24, all passengers and crew of MV Weesam Express 7 arrived safely at Pier 3 in Cebu.
